Endings go with Beginnings

Tonight was an absolute success! It all started with me writing on Michelle's wall that we needed to have a Starbucks night. In trusting her, I asked that she compile a short list of names. She did so, the next day, after I contacted Matt to gauge his interest, I msg-ed Michelle back saying that we need to make it work. So, myself, Michelle, Matt, Rosa and Jessica (aka. Ms. Gloss) were all part of the night.

I arrived downtown at 5.40 or so. I took a stroll towards the river. Little did I know, that getting of the Ottawa 4 right beside me, Ms. Gloss steps down off the bus looking quite smashing, I might say. She had been downtown for sometime by then, getting tickets for concerts. We then strolled down to the river where we took some hilarious
pictures and enjoyed the weather.

About 6.15 we walked back to Starbucks where we got our drinks and waited for the others to arrive. After finding out that I couldn't get any proper internet reception, I gave up and put away my laptop. So, the remainder of our friends arrived and we sat and chatted for a while. We ended up leaving after a time and went into some gelato place down the street where we met a fellow named Mike who Rosa knew. We sat and took more pictures and videos of my venerated quotations. We spend a good while in there. Afterwards we strolled down to the river for some fresh air and enjoy the sunset.

After Rosa's 'missing ring scare' and Matt's departure, we walked to Tim Horton's to sit and chat over the Timbits that Jessica bought. We walked to Rosa's vehicle and drove home. We all agreed though, the evening was a definite success and everyone had a great time with lots of great pictures and videos! After it all, I felt quite drained, it was such an awesome night, I really felt bad that it was over. Like I told Matt after the fact, the summer is meant for friends to things like to do this.

In turn, my quotation for this blog post is the title of the blog post (ironically)! Like I said, I didn't want the night to end and I felt like crap when it was over. So whenever you start something, it's important to remember to enjoy it while it lasts because:

Waiting, patiently.

So, it's just after midnight on Tuesday, now Wednesday. I'm waiting to see if the university is going to strike or not. Honestly, I don't know what the heck the Profs are crying about. They get their six figures and a free parking space. At the university, that's worth a lot! Considering most human beings who walk on campus are in debt, I don't think the profs should complain. So, I have been checking back to see what the deal is.

Half of me wants a strike. This is the same half who wanted to stay up late and have more time for me. The half who wants to go to sleep and not worry about waking up… On the other hand, I love school. I enjoy it and it likes me.

I do too many things for other people. Little things. People need help for things and I go and devote my time and efforts to those things. But, I find some pleasure in helping others. I never mind answering people's questions. People can ask all the questions I want. I love giving answers. Answers are fun. I'm just full of them.

Aloof

Today was fun. It was a very long day actually. I woke at 8 something and was out the door before 9 headed across the border. Steve and I went to Bob Evans – once again - for breakfast, at which I hade French toast. Yummmm. One of my favorite breakfast meals… Not much longer we arrived at our feature destination: Henry Ford Museum.

[As with most of my blogs, I will end the entry with a quote from me which sums up my recent happinings.]

It was absolutely mind blowing. I thought for sure it was going to be just a bunch of cars. Boy was I wrong! It was beautiful and so expansive its incredible. I found it's the largest indoor/outdoor museum in the States. Holy Moses this place had everything. But it's a lot of walking. A lot. We left at about 3 and headed over to nearby Target to poke around and then got some dinner. Also excellent.

After getting home at 6 or so, I straightened up the house and waited for my mother to come home. We drove to get mcdonalds as a snack. Also good. Not healthy by many standards, but sufficient.

I'm now enjoying the ability to awake tomorrow on no schedule. I will wake before 9, as is my goal but, it's nice to have to obligations. What I have been looking forward to is my 'get-together' with some school friends. Were going downtown to Starbucks in the evening. It's going to be awesome. Some of my closest friends from school who I now have to maintain those same relationships without the daily socializations of high school. It's difficult. But, it's what I want and it's working. And tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful. I expect good things!
